Frequently Asked Questions

Please do not hesitate to contact us for further questions at info@skillharbour.com.

How can I contact a member (even without starting a request)?
Go to the entry of this member. On the right, click on the name (nearby the rating stars). Thereafter, a window opens, through which you can send an e-Mail.
Where can I get an overview of all of my current requests and exchange processes?
Go to your profile ("Ahoy, 'your name'") and click on "My transactions" for all running processes. For all completed processes, go to "History".
Can I exchange anytime with every skillharbour member or only with that person with whom I already had an exchange?
You can at any time exchange with any skillharbour member, if you have available skill hours.
How is it possible to see when an entry has been posted?
Are you interested in a skill and want to know when it has been published? In general the posts are sorted by date. This means that the more recent posts appear on the first page (page 1) and thus the "oldest" posts on the last pages of  the search result list.
How can I get more information about a member before I start a request?
We recommend to contact the member per e-Mail: go to the skill entry of this member. On the right, click on the name (nearby the rating stars). Thereafter, a window opens, through which you can send an e-Mail. Don't hesitate to ask all your questions. Afterwards, you can start anytime your request by clicking on "Request this service" box.
I do not automatically receive information about the status of my exchange, although I see changes on "My Transactions". Why is that?
skillharbour sends periodic status information about the status of your process using the email address "ahoy@skillharbour.com". Please note that may be these emails end up in your spam / junk folder instead of your inbox. This you can easily fix by changing your personal email settings.
I lost the email address of my exchange partner, how can I contact him/her again?
Go to the skill/needs entry of your exchange partner. Click on the name (below the picture) and a window opens, providing you with the possibility to send an email to this person.
